Alison and John wanted to renew the terrace outside the back doors and create interest with raised beds and planting.

We used a mix of black, green and rusty slate for the terrace and to make the walls of the raised beds.

The step outside the doors was made from original buff cross-hatched tiles along with the copings for the immediate raised beds.

An integral slate/wood bench was constructed against the left hand wall.

Some old reclaimed tiles that Alison had were used in the design of the raised bed walls and an old marble worktop was used for some copings along with other red tiles.

We renewed and reconditioned the existing shed.

There was a small, cwtchy terraced area created at the bottom of the garden.
